Kieran Burgess

Kieran is an international education consultant and school leader with more than 16 years of experience across IB schools in the UK, Singapore, China, Japan, Switzerland, the UAE and Belgium. He currently serves as Head of Secondary at an IB school in Brussels, where he leads strategic initiatives that strengthen teaching, learning and whole-school improvement. Throughout his career, he has also held senior leadership roles including Head of School and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator.

As an active member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN), Kieran serves as an IB Workshop Leader, Evaluation Team Member, senior DP Examiner, and contributor to IB curriculum review and development, including the IB’s 16+ review. His expertise spans educational leadership, curriculum design, assessment, AI in education, and professional learning, supporting schools and leaders around the world.

In addition to his work with the IB, Kieran partners with IBICUS to deliver masterclasses and professional learning for school leaders and programme coordinators, helping schools translate educational strategy into sustainable practice.
